SOLID ROTOR DESIGNS
The most common of the rotor designs is the solid rotor design made from forged steel and allows for more inertia to be used by the rotor during grinding or shredding of waste materials
HOLLOW ROTOR DESIGN
This is another design of the main rotor of the unit and is made to reduce weight and cost in most machines but also allows for high outboard inertia of the rotor when high speed rotation is needed or used.
NOTCHED ROTOR DESIGNS
This is another design of the main rotor of the single shaft grinder when the rotor needs to be notched for a hawk bill type of blade.
STACKED SEGMENT ROTOR DESIGN
This is another design of the rotor using plates that stack together to form an entire rotor assembly.
WATER COOLED ROTOR DESIGN
This is a design that allows for water cooling of the rotor centre during grinding where friction heat is created in excessive amounts due to the type of material being pressed against the rotor assembly by the ram on the unit or the feeder on the unit
AIR COOLED ROTOR DESIGN
This is a design of air cooling of the rotor with internal fins of the rotor like a self cleaning head or tail pulley assembly where there are corridors for air to be used to cool the rotor assembly during shredding.
