Single Shaft Grinders
Single shaft grinders are available in a wide variety of sizes. These different sizes will cater to different hourly tonnages.
Built by the Burda group since 1966, the single shaft grinder is the ideal machine for processing all types of non metallic waste.
This type of machine will shred materials to range between 1/2 an inch and 2 inches.
The concept is simple. The rotor has knives bolted into it. the bed of the machine has bed knives bolted into it and the resulting space is only big enough for the rotating blades to pass through. A hydraulic ram continually pushes the material against the bladed rotor in order to ensure consistent shredding. The material is then gradually reduced into the desired particle size.
